The event brought several high schools students on campus for purpose of informing them about their college options. I was selected as a "family head," charged with helping a group of students through the day's activities. We brought them to several panels: admissions, financial aid, and a mock lecture. Several of the students thanked us for the chance to come talk to current students and faculty. They enjoyed learning about their potential college careers. I very much enjoyed facilitating this event for the students. I know that the event will shape the choices they make regarding which schools to apply to and I'm glad that they'll use this experience to make confident choices.
