I finally had the opportunity to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. My group had the task of painting and filling in the cracks with silicon. I wanted to build fences from the start but I the group was already full. So I filled crack with silicon throughout the day and painted the outside of walls.
The most impacting and meaningful part of this experience was knowing that a family was going to move in to the house after it was all finished. There was a shed in the back, the fences were up and the inside of the house was almost complete.
I will definitely be going again, but I will choose something a bit more engaging because I was not fulfilled with just painting. I want to learn new skills as well.

Volunteering at Univision 62 was an amazing experience. People called the news network for help on higher education. I received 7 phone calls in total and helped out people in Austin.
