Theta Chi raised over 600 dollars for the USO in two nights by running a well prepared haunted house for students. Nearly every member helped both to plan and to decorate the house, and more than half the chapter participated in running the house each night. I was fortunate enough to act in the house and had a great time with my brothers supporting a good cause and scaring a few people before Halloween.

I had the opportunity to help clear a deep backlog in manual labor for the USO, which keeps active troops in touch with their families and connected to society. The USO is preparing to move locations on limited staff, and Theta Chi's entire fraternity, including the recently initiated fall pledge class, had a blast one Saturday while doing inventory, clearing all the trash and disposable items, and cleaning out the gardens in order to assist the USO's transition effort.
