Give Back Saturday
Starbright Preschool

Based on this volunteer opportunity, I was able to seek the insight of accomplishing a place for pre-school students to enjoy their play time. In which I took on the task to clean their little house and help out with the gardens to beautify their place of play and for educational purposes. By doing this, it made me realize I was going to make a ton of little children happy. I put in my full effort, because I remember being a child once and wanting a playground to enjoy free time. The fact that we did it in the weekend was for the students to come back on Monday to see a playground, the one myself and all the volunteers helped create. It was a great experience to have been a part of this event to make little children happy for a place to play.

Dia de los Muertos Celebration

Having the opportunity to have helped out in this event extremely did display that I was appreciated for the help that I contributed. Being thanked for helping the host have this event go smoothly even through the shortage of volunteers. I made sure I helped the host as much as I could in order to make her feel that no matter what, everything will be okay, I would do everything I could to make everything happen. Therefore, I was placed in multiple shifts, from carrying water packages to registering cars in for the car show. Through my diverse shift participation, I can say that I ultimately enjoyed it, for I did meet new people and learned how to use a walkie talkie. I will gladly come back and volunteer at this event again.
