Two small groups got together to help the University keep its image in campus as a beautiful place to walk. The small groups consisted of mentees and mentors getting along as we cleaning the Waller Creek in campus.
ULN small group had several students show up to clean the park together. We had supplies giving to us by Kee Austin Beautiful. The hours were spent collecting trash from spray paint cans, bottles, etc. The mentees that came not only helped in the park but bonded will doing it.
It was a great day to give back to the community and work on a project that will help feed thousands of families.
It was rather fun to wake up early in the morning to go help out in the park. We picked up trash, laughed a lot, and most of all helped the community. Great day
We bought bread, peanut butter, and jelly to make enough sandwiches to feed around 15 homeless people around the campus area.
My shift started at 12pm but I decided to go in a bit early to ask questions. The lady that explained what I had to do was super nice. I would definitely do it again.
