As a deputized voter registration volunteer, and with my campus organization, I registered people to vote on campus, specifically on Speedway. On another the second day, we actually focused our efforts to a particular 300 student class after we were approached by a professor on our first day of registering, asking that we table outside her classroom. Other than supervising people fill out the application, I also answered any questions, such as letting them know they could vote at the FAC.
I volunteered at the Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) kick-off event Hispanic Heritage Month with ABC journalist John Quinones, the sole anchor of "What Would You Do?" Before the event, starting at 4:30pm, I was outside the auditorium, with other volunteers, asking people to sign up for CMAS newsletter, informing them of the CMAS scholarship contest, and other events the Center is hosting for Hispanic Heritage Month. During the event, I helped by going around the room with the microphone to those that questions for the speaker. After, I happily took a picture with the speaker!
