Helped remove invasive trees from Blunn Creek Nature Preserve to help native species and reduce fire damage.
I volunteered with Texas Infinites during a recruitment event at UT microfarm by picking out carrots and pulling weeds.
Nice people; Pretty crowded. They don't really seem to need much help but idk, maybe I just went on a busy day.
This was a great learning experience as I wasn't previously aware of how much work actually went into maintaining a garden.
This is my 3rd time volunteering for the UT Micro Farm and it's always an enjoyable experience. This time I helped clear out weeds in the front and move stones so the area could be improved and built upon for new crops! As we all know Texas Autumn starts pretty late, so it was quite hot but I still enjoyed being able to do my part to contribute to something even bigger. Gardening is very therapeutic so I can't wait to be able to volunteer again!
I really enjoyed cultivating the land that belongs to the UT Micro Farm organization. Today I got to beautify the landscape by eliminating weeds and even got to plant green beans! It was a nice and friendly environment to serve the community and was really stress relieving. I enjoyed it, 10/10 would recommend!
Helped at the UT micro farm. Mainly helped with the compost and moving it from one pile to another. Helped clip dead leaves off of some of the vegetables, and also picked some carrots and other things that were ready. Went three times during the year but again not sure on the exact dates. Went twice in October and once in Novemeber.
