guided students and parents to various classrooms and buildings around campus
Hi, during this Longhorn Monday I helped parents go to their designed destinations and I answered any questions they had about the event.
During Longhorn Monday I helped redirect families to their information session and got to answer some of their questions about life, and academics at UT.
Through the office of admissions i helped call High School seniors and helped talk to them about concerns or any questions they had about going to UT.
(Verification was sent from office of admissions to UGS leader)
During this saturday we helped guide the visitors that were coming to UT. We basically just welcomed them and told them where to go. It was a good experience because It was great to see how everyone seemed excited to be here at UT and possibly coming here in the fall as freshmen.
I helped with Project Hook Up on Thursday Calling Students from across Texas and chatting with them about prospectively coming to UT
I helped on the third shift of Longhorn Saturday from: 11:30-12:30
This was a wonderful event where volunteers such as myself welcomed the next incoming class of 2019 to campus. I worked directing parents and students to the Texas Union Center from the San Jacinto Parking Garage for my first shift. For my second shift, I directed families different buildings where the presentations were such as Jester for the engineering session. This was a great way to spend my Saturday morning and look forward to volunteering with the Office of Admissions again in the future.
help families find places they needed to go.
This was an overall great experience! Getting to talk to students considering coming to The University of Texas was very rewarding.
This was a great opportunity, I helped guide future longhorns into different parts of campus.
I had a lot of fun helping prospective students on Longhorn Saturday!
I met up with Daniele Spivey and helped incoming high school students find their way to the Union for the Longhorn Saturday event. I was guiding them from a parking garage near Guadalupe with a partner. It was nice talking to parents and future longhorns. I felt more like a college student after this event.
