I volunteered at Longhorn Halloween 2016 and my organization was running a booth of making slime for the kids to play with and then keep! I helped set up the booth and then worked the booth for two hours. It was a lot of fun and it was great seeing all the kids and families dressed up!
I volunteered at the food service tent with my organization and we had a lot of fun distributing over 1,000 enchiladas to the public. It felt really nice to know that we had fed so many people!
I really enjoyed the museum and it was fun to help set out tables and prepare for the Austin Museum Day festival. I got to meet other people and I gained a new appreciation for sculpture art. It was a fun and engaging experience!
This is my 3rd year volunteering for the Project and I absolutely loved it. I got to paint the hallway of Dobie Middle School and felt like I was very productive this weekend because of it. I got to know a lot of new people and made got closer with the organization. Though I would have enjoyed a nice meal after my hard labor, I thought that the event was well-organized and was an overall success.
