Timed for a 10 & Under swim meet.
I volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank with one of my buddies. We were tasked with inspecting and packaging non-perishables and dog/cat food for the day. Altogether, all the volunteers for the day moved more than 17,000 pounds of non-perishables.
I went to the senior home near my house in Dallas the day before Thanksgiving. I spent time with all of the residents who weren't going home or seeing their family the next day on Thanksgiving. I played board games/pool and conversed with about 8 different people. I also had dinner with several people, and I really had a great time. It really made me feel good to see the residents so happy, while also making me grateful to be able to see my loved ones during the holidays.
I attended the Outdoor Voices dog jog and worked at a booth that passed out water to the runners.
I picked up trash in West Campus
Attended Feed my People with a few guys from my fraternity one morning and genuinely enjoyed my experience
I volunteer at a Woolridge Elementary School in Austin every Friday. It is fun to spend time with the kids and try to be a good role model for them.
Volunteered at the Austin Hindu Temple (AHT). Helped with fundraising events, in the kitchen, and at the front desk. Worked with my mom and dad (who are also heavily involved with AHT).
