About
Texas Orange Jackets is traditionally one of UT's oldest honorary service and spirit organizations, founded in 1923, with a membership of women and nonbinary folks that seek to better The University and the City of Austin, to empower folks to be leaders in their respective communities, and to promote a lifelong pursuit of the four core tenets. Members of Texas Orange Jackets serve as official hosts for The University of Texas at Austin and are committed to four core values:
- Service that is consistent, meaningful, and impactful,
- Leadership that exhibits selflessness, passion, and dedication,
- Scholarship that encourages critical thought and diversity of perspective regarding societal issues, and
- Community that, as the foundational tenet, builds unwavering solidarity alongside all movements committed to change for the common good
