The Exchange Club of Austin was founded in 1924 as part of the National Exchange Club. Membership is open to anyone. Exchange is a group of men and women working to make our communities a better place to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse. Out motto is "Unity for Service". The Exchange Club of Austin created the Kite Festival in 1929 to promote creativity in children. We carry that mission into the 21st century by sponsoring kite making workshops at recreation centers and at the Kite Festival.
