UT Farm Stand seeks to make local and organic produce accessible to all students, faculty and staff, while also creating a platform to educate the UT community about sustainable food choices and their impact on the environment. The objective of UT Farm Stand is to host a farmers’ style market on campus and encourage the UT community to purchase sustainably-produced food by increasing the convenience of buying locally. Additionally, UT Farm Stand will lower the carbon footprint of UT by reducing the amount of miles food has to travel while also promoting healthier foods.
