About
There are many opportunities to help this weekend in the cleanup effort!
1) Onion Creek Plantation Neighborhood Watch Program is hosting a Keep Austin Beautiful event taking place on November 9th. We will be picking up litter, mowing/edging curbs, planting wildflowers, and taking community feedback on how the undeveloped park land around the William Cannon/Salt Springs intersection should be used. Here are the event details:
What: Keep Austin Beautiful Neighborhood Cleanup - William Cannon/Salt Springs intersection, Salt Springs Drive & Alley, Dixie Drive, and other neighborhood streets affected by the flooding.
Where: Intersection of Salt Springs Drive and Orleans drive (closest physical address is 7200 Salt Springs Drive)
When: Saturday, November 9th, 10:00 AM
Much of our planned cleanup area was underwater yesterday, and needs help now more than ever. Please invite your friends and families and bring your lawn equipment.
2) If you can, please bring some items to the Dove Springs Recreation Center. The Rec Center is located at 5801 Ainez Drive.
I'm attaching a wish list, these items will help families for
the next few days as they struggle to get back on their feet. We must
come together as a community to help those in need. It's what we do in
Austin, and Travis County. So please come by with blankets, water, or
clothing. If you can't make it here, please donate to the Central
Texas Red Cross.
