Description

Creek cleanup - volunteers should wear waders or old shoes that they do not mind getting wet.  The trash washes down in the creek so we follow the trash.

Gathering seeds - this activity is good for families with young kids.  You will gather mexican plum seeds, pecans, and acorns from the park and then throw them into rock rip rap by the bridge to speed up the native plants restoring the area.

Pulling young invasive plants - This activity is best for volunteers who know plants well and can easily identify young ligustrum, chinese tallow, and chinaberry seedlings. www.austintexas.gov/invasive

Art Activity - The details of this activity are tbd but will be appropriate for all ages.
