Boone Elementary School has approximately 575 students, >48% of the families are economically disadvantaged, and proudly was rated “exemplary” last year! Boone’s PTA is very involved and needed in the school, especially as funding continues to be cut. Proceeds from fundraisers go to tutoring/mentorships, class field trips, after school/evening/weekend events/activities, Family nights, Science Fair, Fine Arts Night, and more, school needs and so much more. The Spring Carnival is the biggest event of the school year, and every year the PTA strives to “out-do” the previous year. As the carnival grows, so does the need for volunteers. Consider this an incredibly fun way to receive community service hours that is incredibly needed and appreciated by all carnival-goers young & old!
