INTERNSHIP IS full for Spring 2020

Programmer will design activities and implement two (2) Saturday afternoon programs, Crafternoon and Builders Club.
Crafternoon is a program geared to families and provides them with an opportunity to play and learn together.
Builders Club is a program geared to school age children with various STEM challenges.

AVAILABLE DAYS/HOURS
*Afternoons *Weekends  (Provides no less than 100 intern hours)

  • Planning and Preparation time 1 shift per week -2 hours between 2:00-6:00 pm any Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
  • Saturday 12:00-4:30 (4.5 hours)  Crafternoon 1:00-2:30/Builders Club 3:00-4:00 weekly.
  • Sundays 1:30-3:30

FINGERPRINTING DETAILS 
Educator's fingerprint card (issued within last 6 months) is preferred, but not required. City of Phoenix will pay for card. Processing may take up to 30 days and students will not be able to work with children while waiting for processing (however students can work on curriculum developement during this time.)

BACKGROUND CLEARANCE DETAILS 
The City of Phoenix will conduct a background check at no cost (does not include drug screening). Students may not work directly with children until background check is completed, but can perform other duties

TRAINING REQUIRED DETAILS
A brief orientation to the Library Department, COP logging of hours and introduction to library policies will be covered.
